  • For Linux, a very locked-up distro. I would guess this is trying to mirror the closed aspect of Apple's OS as much as possible, but very frustrating to try to find the programs or settings you are looking for if you are a regular Linux user. I was looking for a Linux distro that imitated the look and feel of macOS fairly precisely while still maintaining regular Linux functionality. This is not it. This distro also does not feel as smooth or polished as other MacOS-like Linux distros I have tried. On the positive side, this 64 bit distro will run full screen on my antique (2006) HP desktop with an original Athlon 64 processor, something a lot of other current big-name 64 bit distros will not do, at least without some tweaking. I congratulate GMac's creators for trying to create something that fills a niche in the Linux world and a distro that seems like a fairly accurate clone of MacOS. This is just not the Linux MacOS clone for me.
  • I have been playing around with different distro's now for about 3 years looking for 'The One'. Recently I stumbled accros Elementry OS (Loki) and thought it was beautifully designed. Then, I saw a YouTube video of GMac. This is the most beautiful UI design I have ever seen on a distro, and as far as my opinion goes... it's THE ONE!. I use Windows, Mac OS and Linux all the time, and this distro makes me feel at home coming from a Mac. It is super easy to use, very friendly on the eyes, and has a great list of apps built in (after upgrading to LTS 16.04). A very well done to the developers for a supurb effort on this, and please... keep this distro going. PLEASE KEEP THIS GOING
  • I installed it in English, but some menu options appear in Spanish. The network button at top right doesn't work. Update crashes. The desktop interface is wrong, this is probably related to old configuration files, I've had the problem with other distributions. Looks very nice, but several basic problems which discourage me from persisting with it.
